Hope Pantry NFP is a nonprofit organization (501C3), Incorporated in 2019. We provide food to the Plano, Yorkville Sandwich and surrounding IL communities.
Purpose
Hope Pantry's purpose is to provide food to families in the community that are in need of balanced nutritious meals. We believe that no one should have to be hungry.
Vision & Mission
Our mission is to “sow the seed of hope” to every woman, man, boy, and girl. Hope will seize every opportunity to remind our families that there is always HOPE! First, we will focus on reducing food insecurity and empower families of Plano, Yorkville, and Sandwich Illinois. Secondly, we are committed to providing families resources they need to increase self-sufficiency. Finally, Hope wants to bring home economics back by showing families how to grow their own produce, bake, sew, and coupon to save families money while promoting balanced nutritious meals. All families in need are welcome. We will do what is necessary to share what we are able to glean from local grocers and other organizations.
History
What began as Hope Maketh Not Ashamed Outreach Ministry, (Est. February 2013) providing groceries and/or food baskets to families, turned into seeing that there was more to be done to assure families would not go hungry, Hope Pantry was established in September 2019, to fulfill the need in the community to provide food to families.
